Note: this is a representation created to convey the logic and way the system works. Out of respect for our client's privacy and ownership we don't publicly show real screens, data or project details. In a conversation we can explain our approach and way of working in more detail, within what has been agreed with the client.
Business context
In made-to-measure production the final product emerges through a series of decisions: dimensions, variants, materials, processing, price and deadline. If data is re-typed between the quote, production and warehouse, every change increases the risk of error and delay. The goal of the project was to build an operational system that doesn't serve only management — the salesperson, production manager, warehouse clerk, worker and accountant each get their own view, but all use the same source of data.
Problem
- — Data on the customer, quote and specification were separated
- — Changes after a quote was accepted were hard to track
- — Production and warehouse didn't always have the same current overview
- — Order status depended on manual communication
- — Documents were re-assembled from data that already existed
- — Management got an overview after the fact, from several sources
Solution
Manager connects sales, warehouse and production into a single data flow. Every order automatically generates work orders by sector, material requisitions and a weekly plan — while management sees the status in real time.
A single data flow

Roles & permissions
Sales director, production manager, salespeople and workers — each sees their own.
Roles and permissions
The director sees a business overview. The salesperson sees their customers, quotes and documents. The production manager plans and tracks work orders. The warehouse clerk manages the movement of materials. The worker only sees the tasks assigned to them. The accountant accesses financial documents. The boundaries aren't just visual; permissions are checked on the server and stay recorded.
